The village hall is held in trust on behalf of the community and is a registered charity. It's run on a nonprofit basis by the Village Hall Committee, which is made up of local volunteers.
The hall can hold about 140 people standing and about 100 sitting. It has a fully equipped kitchen, chairs and tables for 120, toilets, a collapsible stage and facilities for stage lighting*.
The hall is available to hire for both private and public events, on an hourly basis. More detailed information can be found in the subsequent sections (from the menu on the left).

The new pavilion was completed in March 2009. The building was funded from by mixture of fund-raising events, charitable grants, sale of the old British Legion hut site and a Parish Council loan.
It's managed jointly by the village hall committee and the Parish Council. Like the hall, the pavilion is being run on a non-profit basis.
There is a light and spaceous meeting room in the pavilion, with tables and chairs and room for about 40-50 people (picture above right). There is also a pair of changing rooms, complete with toilets and hot showers, which can be booked separately for sporting events. (We try to ensure both facilities aren't booked at the same time by different users).
